Outbound Communications — Your Legal Responsibility
- Some products help you produce text messages, emails, voicemails, and automated follow-up sequences.
You are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws before you send anything, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CAN-SPAM Act, state telemarketing, autodialer, and consent statutes, do-not-call rules, and the terms of any platform you use.
This includes obtaining and documenting proper prior consent, honoring opt-out requests promptly, identifying yourself, and observing permitted contact hours. Penalties for violations can be severe and are assessed per message.
